David Jones talks aboutInfineon'sXENSIV MEMS microphones that could be used in a range of products from active-noise-cancellation (ANC) headphones to security system that can detect glass breaking.
The new microphones include theIM69D127,IM73A135, andIM72D128. The IM73A135 is an analog microphone that features best-in-class signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 73 dB(A) with an acoustic overload point (AOP) of 135 dB SPL (sound pressure level). The IM72D128 is its digital counterpart. The digital device delivers an SNR of 72 dB(A) and an AOP of 128 dB SPL. IM69D127 features similar performance but in a tiny 3.6- × 2.5-mm package..
